This is an old revision of the document!

This setting serves two purposes, it determines the leave request approval path for the employee, and allows the supervisor to access the Supervisor menu in Employee Access.

Human Resources > Tables > Employee Access Supervisors > Employee/Supervisor

In this scenario, any leave requests submitted by Amanda Ann Amaya in Employee Access are forwarded to her direct supervisor, Elizabeth Moreno, for approval.

Notes:

  • This page does not need to be populated if the Use PMIS for Supervisor Levels field is selected on the Tables > District EA Options > Employee Access Options tab.
  • An employee must have a designated supervisor prior to submitting leave requests in Employee Access.

A supervisor must have at least one assigned employee on the Human Resources > Tables > Employee Access Supervisors > Employee/Supervisor tab in order to access the Supervisor menu in EmployeePortal.

Refer to the ASCENDER Supervisor Guide: View Leave Data, Manage Leave Requests & Set Temporary Approvers guide for more information about setting up temporary approvers and performing supervisor-level tasks.

If the employee is not assigned to a supervisor, the following message is displayed on the Leave Requests page in Employee Access.
