This page allows you to set ASCENDER user login preferences. These user login preferences apply to all ASCENDER Enterprise applications as well as the following portals: EmployeePortal, ParentPortal, StudentPortal, and TeacherPortal.
Set ASCENDER login preferences:
❏ Under Login Preferences:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Invalid Password Attempts | Set the maximum number of times a user can incorrectly type the password before the ASCENDER system locks the user out. This number must be less than or equal to 5. If the field is set to zero, there is no limit to the number of attempts. |
| Lockout (in minutes) | Set the length, in minutes, for which a user's account will remain locked after exceeding the maximum number of incorrect log on attempts. The user can attempt to log on again after the lockout period. This number must be greater than or equal to 15. If the field is set to zero, a lockout period will not occur. |
| Password Expiration (in days) | Set the number of days before the password expires. This number must be less than or equal to 180. If the field is set to zero, the user must reset the password at each log-in. |

Click to retrieve information from the last save. If you click Retrieve, any unsaved changes will be lost. |
