This report provides a Special Education Language Acquisition (SELA) Roster listing of each deaf or hard of hearing or deaf-blind student including basic information and data collected about services and assessments for each student and a roster of the students in that school.

Report field descriptions

Student Name	Student's last name, generation suffix (if any), first name, and middle name Example: Smith VIII, David Mark
Unique ID	Unique number that identifies the student in the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Unique-ID system
Local ID	Optional district-assigned student identification number
Student ID	Indicates the student's Social Security number or a state-approved alternative identification number. The default is the last four numbers of the student's Social Security number. Note: SSN/S-number is NOT the number that identifies the student in the UID System.
Date of Birth	Indicates the month, day, and year of the student’s date of birth, in the format: MM/DD/YYYY Note: The student must be eight years of age or younger as of September 1st.
Sex	Indicates the sex of the student
Age on 9/1	Indicates the age of student as of September 1st using the following calculation: • September 1st selected school year minus DATE-OF-BIRTH • Truncate the results to be a whole year value Note: A student born on 12/10/2015 displays as 4 for the 2020-2021 school year.
Eth/Race	Ethnicity (Eth) indicates that the individual traces his or her origin or descent to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central and South America, and other Spanish cultures, regardless of race. Lists the H value, if any, first, and the rest of the values in ascending (A-Z) alphabetical order from the StudentExtension Complex Type Race indicates one or more racial categories associated with the Student from the StudentExtension Complex Type A Hispanic student who is also part black and part white appears as: • H B W
EB	Indicates that the student is in the Emergent Bilingual Program
Prog Type (Program Type)	Indicates the outlining instructional or non-instructional activities and procedures designed to accomplish a predetermined educational objective or set of objectives or to provide support services to individuals and/or the community from Code Table DC096 in the TWEDS Data Standards.
Instru Set (Instructional Setting)	Identifies the setting used to provide instruction to students from Code Table ID C035 in the TWEDS Data Standards.
Pref Home Comm (Preferred Home Communication Method)	Identifies the preferred unique communication method used by the child at home
Disability
Disab (Disability)	Indicates the disability category that describes a child's impairment. Up to three disability codes are displayed for each student. The first two codes must always be: • DB (Deaf-Blindness) AND/OR • AI (Hearing/Auditory Impairment) For the second AND/OR third code, use the next value in ascending (A-Z) order, if any. If a student has more than one disability value, each value is listed on a separate row. The values for the Elig Effv Date correspond to the values in Disab. Each value in the Elig Effv Date column displays on the same row as its corresponding Disab value. For example, if a student has the values 'Deaf-Blindness' (effective date = 9/23/2021), 'Hearing/Auditory Impairment' (effective date = 10/05/2021), and 'Developmental delay' (effective date = 03/12/2022) the columns display: • DB (Deaf-Blindness) 09/23/2021 • AI (Hearing/Auditory Impairment) 10/05/2021 • DD (Developmental Delay) 03/12/2022
Elig Effv Date	Indicates the date upon which the associated data value(s) is/are considered to take effect, or the associated data value(s) change(s), in the format: MM/DD/YYY. Note: If the student has more than one DISABILITY, the value in the Elig Effv Date column is displayed on the same row as its corresponding disability value.
Language Acq Services
LAS Prvd (Language Acquisition Services Provided)	Indicates the specific language acquisition services provided to the student. Note: If a student has more than one type of service, each service is listed on a separate row in ascending (A-Z) order. The values in the Freq of Svcs and LAS Hrs columns correspond to the value in the LAS Prvd column. Each Freq of Svcs and LAS Hrs value is displayed on the same row as its corresponding LAS Prvd value.
Freq of Svcs (Frequency of Services)	Identifies the frequency with which a student receives services. Note: If the student has more than one value for LAS Prvd, the value in the Freq of Svcs column is displayed on the same row as its corresponding LAS Prvd value.
LAS Hrs (Language Acquisition Services Hours)	Identifies the amount of time in which the student receives services. Note: If the student has more than one value for LAS Prvd, the value in the LAS Hrs column is displayed on the same row as its corresponding LAS Prvd value.
Hearing Ampl
HA Type (Hearing Amplification Type)	Identifies the type of hearing amplification device used by the student at time of submission. Note: If a student has more than one value for HA type, each value is listed on a separate row in ascending (A-Z) order. The values in the HA Access and HA Avg Daily columns correspond to the value in the HA type column. Each HA Access and HA Avg Daily value displays on the same row as its corresponding HA Type value.
HA Access (Hearing Amplification Access)	Identifies whether the student has access to the hearing amplification device for each Hearing Amplification type reported. Note: If the student has more than one HEARING-AMPLIFICATION-TYPE, the value in the HA Access column is displayed on the same row as its corresponding HA Type value.
HA Avg Daily (Hearing Amplification Average Daily Use)	Identifies the average amount of time the hearing amplification device is used in a day based on the Hearing Amplification Access reported. Note: If the student has more than one value for HA Type, the value in the HA Avg Daily column is displayed on the same row as its corresponding HA Type value.
Assessment Info
Tool/Assessment	Identifies the results of the tool or assessment used to assess the student’s language acquisition. Note: If a student has more than one value for Tool/Assessmt, each value is listed on a separate row, in ascending (A-Z) order. The values in the Assessmt Results column correspond to the value in the Tool/Assessmt column. The value for Assessmt Results is listed on the same row as its corresponding value for Tool/Assessment (unless TOOL-OR-ASSESSMENT-USED reported is code “00”, Not Assessed, in which case there are no Assessmt Results values).
Assessment Results	Identifies the results of the tool or assessment used to assess the student’s language acquisition. Note: If the student has more than one value for Tool/Assessment, the value in the Assessment Results column is displayed on the same row as its corresponding Tool/Assessment value. EXCEPTION: If the TOOL-OR-ASSESSMENT-USED reported is code “00”, Not Assessed, there are no values for Assessmt Results.

Parameter	Description
Ending School Year (YYYY)	Type the four-digit ending school year. For example, for the 2023-2024 school year, type 2024.
Campus ID (Blank for All)	Type the three-digit campus ID, or click to select the campus. Leave blank to select all campuses in the district.
From Date (MMDDYYYY) Blank = first day of school.)	Select the date for the first day of school.
To Date (MMDDYYYY) Blank = last day of school.)	Select the date for the last day of school.
Page Break on Grade Level (Y, N, Blank=Y))	Type the two-character grade level, click to select the grade level, or leave blank to select all grade levels.
