1. In TxEIS, access the Grade Reporting > Gradebook Options > Campus > Options page and select Use Elementary Skills-based Report Card.
2. An ESB course must be flagged as a graded course in the TxEIS Master Schedule District Courses in order to be published.
3. In TeacherPortal > Admin > Elementary Report Cards > Manage Elementary Skills-Based Courses, enter Grade Type. Grade Type are the grades set up on a Report Card which enables a ESB teacher to grade students with on the Grades > Assignment Grades.
4. In TeacherPortal > Admin > Elementary Report Cards > Manage Elementary Skills-Based Courses Add a Skill Set, Save and then add skills to the Skill Set by clicking Add Skill and then Save.
5. In TeacherPortal, access the Admin > Admin Options page, click Mark Ready to Post to mark all courses at the campus as ready to post including Elementary Skills-Based courses.
6. Complete the Admin > Elementary Report Cards > Manage Elementary Skills-Based Report Cards (Step 1) and TeacherPortal Admin > Elementary Report Cards > Manage Elementary Skills-Based Report Cards (Step 2).
7. Select the Report Card Type for the ESB course on TeacherPortal > Admin > Elementary Report Cards > Elementary Skills-Based Courses.
8. Enter ESB grades on Grades > Assignment Grades and if set up for the course’s Report Card make selections for each student on Elementary Letter Skills, Elementary Number Skills, Elementary Word Skills.
9. In TeacherPortal > Settings, a teacher must not have any categories or assignments and teachers must not group ESB courses.
1. Access the Grades > Elementary Report Cards > Elementary Report Card Student Notes > Skill Set Notes page and add notes to students if needed.
2. Access the Grades > Elementary Report Cards > Print Elementary Report Cards page, select students, click Print selected student report cards, confirm notes were added, if skills-based, the Skills-based report card information is displayed, click Mark Ready to Post to publish the report cards to ParentPortal.

2. From the Summary page, select a student, if the student has a skills-based report card, the Skills Based Report Card button is displayed. Click the button to view the selected student’s skills-based report card.
