Interchange: StudentEnrollmentExtension
Complex Type: StudentSchoolAssociationExtension
Description: Represents the campus(es) in which a student is enrolled and/or withdrawn.
For Submission 4, each student must be reported with one and only one StudentSchoolAssociationExtension for the last campus at which the student was enrolled.
The following elements from the StudentSchoolAssociationExtension complex type are included in Submission 4:
❏ MIGRANT-INDICATOR-CODE Migrant (E0984) (Code table: C088) indicates if the student, or the student’s parent, spouse, or guardian, is a migratory agricultural worker. LEAs identify the students using their own recruitment program for self-identifying migrants, or they use the ESC co-op to identify migrants. Students coded as a migrant must provide a Certificate of Eligibility (COE).
Interchange: StudentProgramExtension
Complex Type: StudentProgramExtension
Description: Represents any program designed to work in conjunction with or to supplement the main academic program to provide instruction, training, services or benefits through federal, state, or local agencies. Programs may include organized extracurricular activities.
The following elements from the StudentProgramExtension complex type are included in Submission 4:
❏ PRIOR-YEAR-BILINGUAL/ESL-SUMMER-SCHOOL-INDICATOR-CODE Prior Yr Summer School Bil/ESL (E1708) (Code table: C088) indicates whether the student participated in the 2019-2020 Bilingual/ESL Summer School program as described in TEC §29.060 and 19 TAC §89.1250 by completing the supplemental program throughout the 2020-2021 school year. To be eligible for enrollment in the Bilingual/ESL Summer Program, a student must be emergent bilingual (EB).
For PRIOR-YEAR-BILINGUAL/ESL-SUMMER-SCHOOL-INDICATOR-CODE the student was eligible for admission to kindergarten or first grade at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. EB shall be determined by screening students using oral proficiency instruments approved by the Commissioner of Education.
The PRIOR-YEAR-BILINGUAL/ESL-SUMMER-SCHOOL-INDICATOR-CODE tagline generates directly to the Student Program Interchange from the Registration application. The student’s demo data must exist in State Reporting, Extended Year. Clients can review the SRG0650 PK/Elementary Student Special Program Listing Report to verify the list of students coded with the PRIOR-YEAR-BILINGUAL/ESL-SUMMER-SCHOOL-INDICATOR-CODE.
If the student demo data does not exist in State Reporting, Extended Year, the client can retrieve and save the student demo data from Summer PEIMS by:
❏ ADDITIONAL-DAYS-PROGRAM-PARTICIPATION-INDICATOR-CODE (E1672) (Code table XC088) indicates if an ADA eligible prekindergarten through fifth grade student participates in the additional days school year program as described in TEC Sec. 48.0051.
