Complex Type: PayrollExtension (30060)
Description: Staff pay. The sum of the financial transactions to date for employee compensation. An “employee” who performs services under the direction of the employing institution or agency, is compensated for such services by the employer, and is eligible for employee benefits and wage or salary tax withholdings.
The following element from the PayrollExtension complex type is included in Submission 1:
❏ PAYROLL-AMOUNT Amount (E0425) is the dollar value that is paid to a staff member for a given payroll activity per year, rounded to the nearest dollar.
❏ PAYROLL-ACTIVITY-CODE Activity Code (E0424) (Code table: C018) is the types of duty for which a staff member receives salary, salary supplements, or bonuses. It does NOT include fringe benefits such as group health and life insurance, workmen’s compensation, sick leave, and others under OBJECT-CODE 6140.
The following are extracted from the Account Code field:
❏ FUND-CODE (E0316) (Code table: C145) is the fund group and specific fund (when applicable) for actual financial data for budget and payroll.
❏ FUNCTION-CODE (E0317) (Code table: C146) is a general operational area which groups together related activities.
❏ OBJECT-CODE (E0318) (Code table: C159) is an account, transaction, or source of funds, indicating the major account group to which a transaction is posted or to which the associated monies are related.
❏ ORGANIZATION-CODE (E0319) is the unique organizational unit within the district with which the account is associated. For campuses, this is the three-digit campus number registered with the TEA. For non-campuses, this must be one of the administrative units required in the Resource Guide, or 998 or 999. Conversions must be made prior to reporting to TEA.
❏ PROGRAM-INTENT-CODE (E0320) (Code table: C147) identifies the cost of instruction and other services directed toward a particular need of a specific set of students, but not the demographic makeup of the students served.
