Complex Type: StudentExtension (40100/49010)
Description: Student ID and demographics. Represents a student for whom instruction and/or services are provided in an elementary, secondary, or post-secondary educational program under the jurisdiction of an LEA.
The following elements from the StudentExtension complex type are included in Submission 1:
❏ NEW FOR 2021-2022: PARENT-REQUEST-RETENTION-INDICATOR XXXXXXXX (E1729) (Code table: C088) indicates an enrolled student was retained at the request of the parent or guardian.
❏ POST-SECONDARY-CERTIFICATION-LICENSURE-CODE Industry Credentials or Certification (E1640) (Code table: C214) indicates a nationally or internationally recognized business or industry certification or license earned by a student. You can enter up to 15.
For students who have a graduation plan, this information is entered on Graduation Plan > Maintenance > Student > Individual Maintenance > PGP.
❏ SSI-PROMOTION-RETENTION-CODE SSI Promotion (E1030) (Code table: C171) indicates if the student was promoted or retained as a result of participation in the Student Success Initiative (SSI).
❏ MIGRANT-INDICATOR-CODE Migrant (E0984) (Code table: C088) indicates if the student, or the student’s parent, spouse, or guardian, is a migratory agricultural worker. LEAs identify the students using their own recruitment program for self-identifying migrants, or they use the ESC co-op to identify migrants. Students coded as a migrant must provide a Certificate of Eligibility (COE).
❏ IMMIGRANT-INDICATOR-CODE Immigrant (E0797) (Code table: C088) indicates if the student is an identified immigrant per Title III of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).
❏ UNSCHOOLED-ASYLEE/REFUGEE-CODE Asylee/Refugee Cd (E1076) (Code table: C183) applies only to students initially enrolled in grade levels 7-12 in the United States as unschooled asylees or refugees.
❏ HOMELESS-STATUS-CODE Homeless Status Cd (E1082) (Code table: C189) indicates if the student is homeless and, if homeless, what his primary nighttime residence is at the time of identification (shelter, doubled up, unsheltered, motel/hotel). The student’s status must be determined upon enrollment and/or at the start of each new school year.
❏ UNACCOMPANIED-YOUTH-STATUS-CODE Unaccomp Youth Status Cd (E1084) (Code table: C192) indicates a youth (under 21 as of September 1) who is homeless, whether in or not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian. The student’s status must be determined upon enrollment and/or at the start of each new school year.
❏ EARLY-READING-INDICATOR-CODE Early Reading Cd (E1522) (Code table: C195) indicates if the student is eligible for accelerated reading instruction. This field applies only to grade levels KG-2 and is required for those students. For Submission 1, report the grade level reading status based on assessment results at the beginning of the year.
You can use the Reset Values utility to set the early reading indicator code for all students in grade levels KG-2:

❏ NEW FOR 2021-2022: The IBC Exam Fee Amount now has a revised domain of values from 0-100 to 0.00-700.00.

Complex Type: StudentSchoolAssociationExtension (40110/43415)
Description: Campus enrollment and withdrawal. The school(s) in which a student is enrolled and/or withdrawn.
The following element from the StudentSchoolAssociationExtension complex type is included in Submission 1:
❏ CAMPUS-ID-OF-ACCOUNTABILITY Campus of Account (E1027) is only required for students enrolled in DAEP or JJAEP on the snapshot date and is used to determine attendance and leaver accountability data. The data is extracted by the extract program only when it is required. The CAMPUS-ID-OF-ACCOUNTABILITY cannot be a DAEP and/or a JJAEP.

Complex Type: StudentProgramExtension (40110)
Description: Student programs. Any program designed to work in conjunction with or to supplement the main academic program.
The following element from the StudentProgramExtension complex type is included in Submission 1:
❏ CAREER-AND-TECHNICAL-ED-IND-CD Career and Technology Ind (E0031) (Code table: C142) indicates if the student is enrolled in a state-approved career and technical education (CTE) course as an elective, or as a participant in the district’s career and technical coherent sequence of courses.
You can use the Set Student CTE Indicators utility to automatically set the code to 1 for 6-12 grade students based on the student’s enrollment on the fall snapshot date:
NOTE: Students whose CTE indicator is 2 are not updated. The indicator must be manually updated for these students.

Complex Type: StudentCTEProgramAssociationExtension (41169)
Description: The career and technical education (CTE) program that a student participates in or receives services from.
The following elements from the StudentCTEProgramAssociationExtension complex type are included in Submission 1:
❏ TRANSPORTATION-CTE-SUPPORT-SERVICE Transport CTE Support Service (E0917) (Code table: C088) indicates if the economically disadvantaged student enrolled in a CTE course receives special transportation services to enable the student to commence or continue career and technical training.
❏ DISPLACED-HOMEMAKER-CODE Displaced Homemaker (E1039) (Code table: C088) indicates an individual who meets TWEDS standards for this condition. The code is only reported for students who receive CTE services.
❏ SGL-PARENT-PREG-TEEN-CODE Single Parent/Pregnant Teen (E0829) (Code table: C064) indicates if the student in the CTE program is: 1) unmarried or legally separated from a spouse; and has a minor child(ren) for which the parent has either custody or joint custody, or 2) is pregnant.
