For submission 3, the code must reflect the student’s EB status for the school year.

EMERGENT-BILINGUAL-INDICATOR-CODE 1 indicates that the student was identified as EB. The code must be 1 if the student was identified as EB at any time during the school year.

Monitored 1 (EB Code F), Monitored 2 (EB Code S), Monitored 3 (EB Code 3), Monitored 4 (EB Code 4), or 5 (EB Code 5) status is reported for students who have been exited from the bilingual/ESL programs and are determined to no longer be Emergent Bilingual (EB). This information is reported for the first four school years on all students who have exited EB status.
