Calculating Net Pay

Net pay is the amount of money employees take home after all deductions are subtracted. The below examples represent how net pay is calculated on the Earnings Register.

Employee with a business allowance:

Standard Gross + Suppl Pay + Taxable Bus Allowance - W/H tax - Med tax - Annuity - TRS Insurance - TRS Sal Red - Cafe 125 = Net Pay

Employee without a business allowance:

Standard Gross + Suppl Pay - W/H tax - Med tax - Annuity - TRS Insurance - TRS Sal Red - Deductions Employee paid NOT Cafe 125 = Net Pay
