State Reporting > Options

❏ Added the Generic Program for New Tech field allowing you to indicate the generic program code used to track students in grade level 7-12 and enrolled in a New Tech Network campus as identified by the New Tech Network.

State Reporting > Crosswalks

❏ Added validation to prevent duplicate values from being entered in the From field for crosswalk types 042 and 043.


State Reporting > Crosswalks > 044 - PE Responsibilities - Campus/Crs/Sec

❏ Modified the program to automatically populate the Day Week 1-4 fields according to the Days code entered on Grade Reporting > Maintenance > Master Schedule > Campus Schedule > Section for each course-section meeting time.

❏ Modified the program to automatically populate the Mins Week 1-4 fields according to calculations using the Time Begin/End entered on Grade Reporting > Maintenance > Master Schedule > Campus Schedule > Section for each course-section meeting time. Also modified calculations to allow up to 3000 minutes in each field.

❏ Updated the PE Service ID list.


State Reporting > Extracts > Fall > Student

❏ Updated validation to include new and updated edits for the 2019-2020 school year.

❏ Added New Tech to the extract.

❏ Added PK Elig Prev Year and Alt Lang Cd when creating enrollment records and added edits for fatal errors.

❏ Modified the extract to accommodate long student names, up to 60 characters each for first, middle, and last name.

❏ Modified the PEIMS Fall Student Extract Summary Report to include the following fatal edits:

• 41163-0014: If PRESCHL-PROG-CHLDRN-WITH-DISAB-IND-CD is 1, then age on the PEIMS Fall snapshot date must be 3, 4 or 5, and EARLY-CHILDHOOD-INTERV-IND-CODE must be 0.

• 41163-0019: If INSTRUCTIONAL-SETTING-CODE is 45, 89, or 98, then age must be 3, 4 or 5 on the PEIMS Fall snapshot date.

• 41163-0018: If PPCD-SERVICE-LOCATION-CODE is not 0, then age must be 3, 4 or 5 on the PEIMS Fall snapshot date.

❏ Modified the program to create special education records correctly according to the Effective Dates for each category. Effective Date is the earliest enrollment date for the combination of services in the student's most current special education record as of the snapshot date.

❏ Modified the extract per 2019-2020 requirements to extract all students who completed a post-secondary certification with a PEIMS equivalent code. Previously only leavers were extracted.

❏ Corrected the program to not extract generic programs for students who exited the program on or before the snapshot date.

❏ Modified the program so that ASVAB is no longer required for campuses that do not offer grade levels 10-12, per TEDS 2020.2.0. If blank, the field is not written to the interchange.

❏ Added the District-wide Gifted and Talented (GIFTED-TALENTED-PROGRAM-CODE (E1645)) section allowing you to select the gifted and talented programs established by the LEA that are consistent with the state plan developed under TEC 29.123.

❏ Added the CTE Programs of Study (PROGRAM-OF-STUDY (E1643)) section allowing you to indicate the program(s) of study offered by the LEA. A program of study is a comprehensive, structured approach for delivering academic and career and technical education to prepare a student for post-secondary education and career success.

❏ Added the Campus Enrollment Type field (CAMPUS-ENROLLMENT-TYPE-CODE (E1641)) allowing you to indicate the method by which the campus draws student enrollment.

❏ Corrected validation for the NSLP Code field so that Rule 10020-0036 is not incorrectly triggered.

❏ Modified the program to allow you to enter and save up to 50 characters each in the First, Middle, and Last Name fields.

❏ Added the New Tech field (NEW-TECH-INDICATOR-CODE (E1647)) allowing you to indicate if the student is in grade level 7-12 and enrolled in a New Tech Network campus as identified by the New Tech Network.

❏ Modified the program to allow you to enter and save up to 60 characters each in the Last, First, and Middle Name fields.

❏ Corrected the IEP Continuer field to save correctly for a student who is age 18 as of September 1 of the current school year.

❏ Added the Alt Lang Pgm field (ALTERNATIVE-LANGUAGE-PROGRAM-CODE (E1642)) allowing you to indicate the type of alternative language program participated in by the student. An alternative language program must be approved by the TEA due to the LEA submission of a bilingual education exception and/or English as a second language (ESL) waiver for the current school year.

❏ Added the PK Elig Prev Year field (PK-ELIGIBLE-PREVIOUS-YEAR-INDICATOR-CODE (E1649)), allowing you to indicate if the four-year-old student is eligible for enrollment in a PK class because this student was eligible for enrollment at age three in the previous school year. Also added applicable edits.

State Reporting > Maintenance > Fall > Student > Special Ed

❏ Improved the organization of fields on the page by grouping them under the headings Special Education, Disabilities, and Services. Also modified some field names for better readability.

❏ Added the Effective Date field (EFFECTIVE-DATE (E1632)) for each group, allowing you to indicate the earliest enrollment date for the selected combination of of disabilities or services in the student's most current special education record as of the snapshot date.

• Added elements TX-ProgramsOfStudy and TX-CampusEnrollmentType
• Removed elements NameOfInstitution, OrganizationCategories, and OrganizationCategory

❏ Added the following columns to the report:

New Tech, which displays 1 or 0 to indicate if the student is in grade level 7-12 and enrolled in a New Tech Network campus as identified by the New Tech Network, as entered on State Reporting > Maintenance > Fall > Student > Demo.
Census Block, which displays the census block in which the student reside, as entered on State Reporting > Maintenance > Fall > Student > Demo.

Also modified column headings to accommodate the new fields.
