TxEIS Security Administration is intended to be used only by the person designated as the database administrator. The system works by creating users and roles (such as system administrator) and then assigning roles to the users. Roles include campuses, pay frequencies, and warehouses to which the user may have access in addition to the many applications. The system is used to create users and passwords and grant permissions to applications, menus, and tabs. The system can secure access to TxEIS through the following on a per user basis:

  • Applications
  • Menu items and tabs
  • Data at the campus, payroll frequency, and warehouse levels
