Errors

Warnings

Error message text begins with “WARNING”. These are informational messages which may or may not require any action. In most cases data is extracted to PEIMS.  

Fatal

Error message text begins with “FATAL”. Data is not extracted to PEIMS. All FATAL errors should be investigated and resolved.

Database

Error message text begins with “Error”. These messages usually occur when there has been an unsuccessful attempt to update the database.

Reading the Messages:

Text in italic type is replaced by a value. Text enclosed in [ ] is a list of several options separated by forward slashes. One of these options will appear in the error message.  

Example: Message: Error [updating/inserting] [ATT/CATE ATT/DEMO] record for SSN SSN This would appear as: “Error updating ATT record for SSN 123456789” on an error report.
